How to Integrate Publisher Ad Code on Your Site

Introduction

Once your site is verified and you have created at least one ad unit, the next step is to place the ad code on your pages. This article covers a standard integration approach for publishers.

Step 1: Copy the Ad Code

1. Open the ad units section in your publisher dashboard.
2. Select the unit you want to integrate.
3. Use the option to view or copy the integration code.

Step 2: Paste Code Into Your Site

On your website:

1. Open the template or page where you want the ad to appear.
2. Paste the code snippet into the position that best matches the placement, such as inside the header, sidebar, or content area.
3. Save and publish the change.

Step 3: Check That Ads Are Serving

After saving your changes:

1. Open the page in a private or incognito window.
2. Confirm that the ad space appears and loads correctly.
3. Return to your dashboard and check whether impressions start to register for the ad unit.

If you do not see ads after some time, check whether the unit is active and that your ad blocking extensions are disabled for the test.
