Understanding Publisher Revenue Reports

Introduction


Publisher revenue reports provide insights into the performance of your sites and placements, highlighting which generate income and how that performance evolves over time. This article will explain the main metrics and views you will encounter in these reports.

  2. Click on Reports from the sidebar.
  3. Choose the revenue report view for publishers.

Key Metrics


The following metrics are commonly found in publisher revenue reports:


  • Revenue: The total earnings generated during the selected period.
  • Impressions: The number of times ads were displayed to users.
  • Clicks: The total number of times users clicked on ads.
  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): The percentage of impressions that resulted in a click, calculated as (Clicks / Impressions) * 100.
  • Effective Revenue per Thousand Impressions (eCPM): A metric that indicates the estimated earnings for every 1,000 ad impressions, calculated as (Revenue / Impressions) * 1000.


You can apply filters to analyze results by site, ad unit, device type, or country to better understand your revenue sources.


Tip: Save frequently used filter combinations if your dashboard supports saved views.




  • Monitor for any significant changes in revenue, impressions, or click-through rates. Investigate any anomalies to understand the cause.
  • Compare performance across different sites to determine which placements may require more attention or optimization.
  • Use the export feature to share data with partners or integrate it with other data sources for comprehensive analysis.
