Navigating the Publisher Dashboard Sidebar

Introduction

The sidebar in your publisher dashboard is the primary way to move between pages such as sites, ad units, reports, and settings. This article shows what each main menu item does.

Sidebar Structure

Most publisher sidebars are organized into these groups:

  1. Home or Dashboard.
  2. Sites or Inventory.
  3. Ad Units or Placements.
  4. Reports or Analytics.
  5. Payments or Payouts.
  6. Settings or Account options.

  • Add a new site.
  • Check whether a site is approved and ready to monetize.
  • Open a site to see its ad units and performance.

Ad Units or Placements

  1. Create a new ad unit.
  2. Edit an existing placement.
  3. Pause or reactivate a specific unit.

Using the Sidebar Efficiently

  • Pin or favorite the sections you use most, if your dashboard supports it.
  • Use built-in search or quick jump features to jump directly to a site or report.
  • Collapse less-used sections so you see the links you need at a glance.

Tip: Learn the keyboard shortcut that opens the global search bar so you can jump between pages faster.
