Integrating outstream video ads into your website can significantly enhance your monetization strategy. This guide walks you through creating a video placement and implementing the Video (Outstream) Tag on your site, ensuring your ads are displayed effectively and efficiently.

Creating a Video Placement

To get started with video ads, you first need to create a video placement within your EZmob account. Here's how:

  1. Go to Properties in your EZmob dashboard.
  2. Click Create New Placement.
  3. Fill in the required fields, including:
  • Website URL
  • Vertical
  • Ad format → select Video
  • Content type (Mainstream or Adult)
  • Complete any other fields as required for your account.
  1. Click Create Placement.

Wait for approximately 20 seconds for the placement to be created. Once ready, it will appear in your Properties list, and the tag will be available for use.

Retrieving Your Video Tag

After creating your video placement, follow these steps to get your Video (Outstream) Tag:

  1. Open Properties and locate the placement with the format Video.
  2. In the Actions column, click the code/script icon to expand the Video (Outstream) Tag script.
  3. Click Copy script to copy the full tag to your clipboard.

You can revisit the Properties table to copy the tag again whenever needed.

Implementation Tips

  • Ensure the scripts load correctly, preferably before the closing </body> tag.
  • Place the tag where you want the video ad to appear, like the sidebar or in-content.
  • Maintain the container-1 ID for the div if using the provided tag; the script expects this ID.
  • Use one tag per video ad unit per page. For multiple units, create separate placements and tags, customizing container IDs as needed.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with video ad display, ensure:

  • The scripts are correctly placed and not altered.
  • Your site allows script execution from external sources.
  • The placement ID matches the one in your EZmob Properties list.
