Monetize with Search Ads
A Search placement gives you a search box to put on your site. When a visitor submits a search, ads related to what they searched for open in a new window. Search isn't in the Add Placement list, so EZmob sets it up for you.
Get a Search placement
- Open Sites & Placements. If your site isn't there yet, click Add Website first.
- Ask your account manager to create a Search placement for that site.
- When it's ready, it appears on the Your Placements tab.
Install the tag
- On the Your Placements tab, click the code icon (View Script) on the placement.
- Under Data Center, choose US East (New York) or EU (Amsterdam).
- Click Copy Script.
- Paste the code where the search box should appear on your page.
The code is a search form plus a short script:
<form id='form' role='search'>
<input type='search' id='query' name='q'
placeholder='Search...'
aria-label='Search through site content' required>
<button>Search</button>
</form>
<script>
const f = document.getElementById('form');
const q = document.getElementById('query');
function submitted(event) {
event.preventDefault();
const url = 'https://xml.qualiclicks.com/redirect?feed=YOUR_FEED_ID&auth=YOUR_AUTH&query=' + q.value + '&url=YOUR_SITE_URL';
const win = window.open(url, '_blank');
win.focus();
}
f.addEventListener('submit', submitted);
</script>
- You can change the form's styling and its placeholder text.
- Keep the
feed,authandurlvalues exactly as they are in your own tag. - Use the form once per page, because its IDs (
form,query) must be unique.
