How to Create a Placement and Obtain Your Ad Tag

Creating a placement in your EZmob account and obtaining the ad tag for your website is a simple yet essential process for displaying ads and generating revenue. This guide will take you through each step to ensure your site is fully prepared to showcase ads effectively.

Creating a Placement

Before ads can be displayed, you must create a placement for each ad unit on your website. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your EZmob account and go to the Sites & Placements section in the left navigation bar.
  2. Click on Add Placement to start the process.
  3. Select the Site where you want to add the placement.
  4. Configure the Placement Settings:
  • Choose the ad format (e.g., banner, interstitial).
  • Select the size of the ad unit.
  • Set any targeting options that fit your audience.
  1. Click Save to create the placement.

After saving, you will receive an ad tag—a snippet of code that needs to be embedded on your website.

Installing the Ad Tag

Once you have created a placement, the next step is to install the ad tag on your site. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Copy the Generated Ad Tag from your EZmob dashboard.
  2. Paste the Ad Tag into your website's HTML at the location where you want the ads to appear. The ideal placement will depend on your site's layout and the type of ad unit you are using.
  3. Visit the Page in a browser to ensure that the ads are displaying correctly.

Tip: Consider testing the placement in a private browser window. This helps confirm that ads are rendered correctly, avoiding any issues related to caching.

Managing Multiple Placements

You can create and manage multiple placements under each site on your EZmob account. Each placement will have its unique ad tag and will report performance independently, allowing for detailed tracking and analysis.
