Password Security and Two-Factor Authentication
Ensuring the security of your EZmob account is crucial for protecting your advertising funds and sensitive business information. This article guides you through setting up a strong password and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security.
Password Requirements and Setup
Strong passwords are your first line of defense against unauthorized access. EZmob requires your password to be:
- At least 8 characters long
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Inclusive of numbers
- Containing symbols
To update your password:
- Visit Password Settings.
- Enter your current password.
- Create a new password that meets the requirements mentioned above.
- Confirm your new password and click
Save.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. EZmob supports 2FA via SMS and authenticator apps.
To enable 2FA:
- Go to Profile Settings.
- Scroll down to the
Two-Factor Authenticationsection. - Choose your preferred 2FA method:
- SMS: Enter your phone number and follow the prompts to verify.
- Authenticator App: Scan the QR code provided and enter the code generated by your app.
Login Monitoring and Account Recovery
EZmob monitors for unusual login activity, including attempts from new locations. If suspicious activity is detected, you will be notified.
For account recovery:
- Visit Account Recovery.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity and regain access.
Security Best Practices
To further secure your EZmob account, consider the following best practices:
- Regularly update your password and review your 2FA settings.
- Be cautious of phishing attempts and only log in through EZmob Dashboard.
- Use secure devices and networks when accessing your account.
