# How to blacklist/whitelist SubIDs?

Optimizing your campaign's traffic sources is very straight-forward. You can whitelist or blacklist SubID (xml traffic sources) or Zones (Display traffic sources) in two ways. 

Use reports to optimize SubIDS: 

1. Click on Metrics page
2. Choose 'Source' and run a report in a relevant time range. 
3. Click on any of your campaigns, a view of the active subIDs will appear sorted by impressions. 
4. You may select a single or multiple SubIDs and block them from your campaign.

Use campaign settings to blacklist or whitelist SubIDs: 

1. Click on Campaigns page
2. Choose a campaign and click on the gear icon 
3. If no SubIDs are currently added to the list, Choose "Mode" (Blacklist or Whitelist) and Input SubIDs into the subID manager.

4. Click on "Add to Blacklist" 
5. Click on SubIDs listed to remove them from the Blacklist. 

||| Once a blacklist has been attributed to a campaign, only further blacklisting can occur. Similarly to Whitelisting campaigns, you cannot both blacklist and whitelist subIDs on the same campaigns.
